Anywhere on This Road will have its world premiere in June, at the 19th Documentarist in Istanbul. The documentary follows Kurdish women artists living in Europe as they navigate the lasting impacts of war, displacement, and migration on their lives and creative practices. Filmed through the perspective of director Özlem Belçim Galip, herself a migrant woman, the documentary unfolds alongside her journey through pregnancy, tracing the stories of women across borders. The film explores themes of patriarchy, marginalisation, and artistic resistance within both diasporic communities and European cultural spaces. It offers an intimate reflection on memory, belonging, and the enduring presence of conflict in exile.
